Democratic US presidential candidate Barack Obama is set to unveil an "economic rescue plan for the middle class" at a campaign event in Ohio.
He has a double-digit poll lead over his Republican rival John McCain, a new ABC/Washington Post poll suggests.
Senator McCain will try to revive his flagging poll ratings with a campaign speech in the key state of Virginia.
Aides to Mr McCain say that he will not be making any specific economic proposals in his speech.
A lot of folks complain Obama doesn't have any specifics, and frankly I don't think they're listening. But the more he outlines specifically what he plans on doing while the McCain campain lags behind and spends time on character attacks, the better I think Obama will do in the polls.
Especially in hard-hit swing states.
...it is the original "Clean-Up" plan, used by Dems whenever the Pubs screw-up our money. Dems have always been the 'maids and butlers' - the 'process people' of our representative almost democracy... and... Obama, like Bill C., has the calm, mental acuity to pull us out of the quicksand once again.
Must wonder if folks will ever learn that we've tried 'trickle-down' 5 (FIVE) times now and it never trickles down...just the pain from it rolls down to the household bringing in less than 50k/yr.... well,
"i no longer care what is the color of this sucker's skin ...we need a 'Nerd' a Constitutional Scholar and he's got the 'tow-rope' to pull us out the dern ditch, honey!"
mmmmm, said it all... (close my eyes and vote for The Ship Of State, The USA)
